What began as a history of the Lisu people's conversion to Christianity, was to become Mischa Berlinski's prize-winning novel, Fieldwork which became a finalist for the 2007 National Book Award and more recently, winner of the 2008 Whiting Writers Award. National Book Award Chair Shares
His Vision For American Literature
Harold Augenbraum discussed his vision for the National Book Foundation and America’s National Book Awards (US literature’s Holy Grail).
